This site is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Humphrey Smith.
Humphrey Smith was born in Bolton on June 06, 1945. He is much loved and will always be remembered fondly by everyone who knew him.
I met Humphrey in 1984 whilst I was studying Computer Science in Coventry; he was different to my course lecturers in that he would visit us at home and drag us (kicking and screaming!) to the pub or to a live gig, or invite us to his home to play live music. Generous, eccentric and humble, Humphrey cared for and supported many people without any unnecessary conforming to airs, graces or what others might expect. Humphrey was the real deal.
